Customise your book
Once you've selected your book - or chosen to send us your favourite - you can choose from the following options. Simply follow these following steps, or contact us for design ideas.
If your book is needed by a specific date call us in advance.
The book price listed is inclusive of the steps below, except for any personalisation which may add a little extra.
Select A Leather To Bind Your Book
Leather colour
Select a shade of leather, if you would like a colour not shown, please contact us or add a note in the comments box at the checkout:
Blue 13 / Green 16 / Scarlet 20 / Crimson 21 / Terracotta 22 / Tan 26 / Blackberry 39 / Yellow 30 / Teal 38 / Black 28
We will select an appropriate marbled paper and top and tail bands to match the leather, and confirm it with you before proceeding to the next steps.
All our leathers are from Harmatan and are of the highest quality.
Cost: All leather colours are included in the price of the book.
Select The Number Of Spine Ridges
Raised bands (optional)
Select the number of raised bands on the book spine. Add between 1-5 bands, or simply leave it without and proceed to the next steps below.
The image (right) shows books with three raised bands, and the book (far right) shows five bands, which alters the lettering position.
Cost: Up to 5 raised bands are included in the price of the book.
A Square of colour on the spine
Label Colour (optional)
Add a touch of colour to the book spine. You can select any of the following shades to give the book a desired colour theme in Blue / Black / Dark Green / Maroon. Or proceed to the next steps, below.

gold, coloured or speckled (optional)
And choose how many outer edges of the book you want coloured.
If you would like a ribbon to mark the page, select any of the following options: red, yellow, gold, silver, green, blue, orange, purple, black, pink.

Add a special picture to the book or slipcase
Foil Block an image
We can block an image on the front, back or spine of the book. We can also block an image on the book slipcase if requested.
Gold is the most popular colour as it stands out against the leather. We ask customers to discuss design with us in advance of placing their order, or email us their design ideas.
Cost: This comes at an additional cost, which will depend on the complexity of the images (around £60 per die). If you are looking to use a blocking dies we have in our collection it will be at reduced price. Please contact us for a price quote.
Add a personalisation if desired
Personalise
You can choose to add a message, quote, name or date to the book. This is a popular choice for gifts and special occasions.
Contact us, or add a note in the comments box at the checkout, with the details to add. Please also specify the location of the lettering and spelling.
Cost: We charge a flat fee of £5 for personalisation, plus £1 per character. For long names, or sentences please contact us as we may be able to offer a discounted price.
